രണ്ടായിരത്തി പതിനൊന്ന് കാലത്തിന്റെ പടി കടക്കുക്കയാണ്. ബ്രിട്ടനിലെ ക്നാനായ സമുദായങ്ങങ്ങല്‍ക്ക് പലതു കൊണ്ടും പ്രധാനപെട്ടതായിരുന്നു 2011. കോട്ടയത്ത്‌ നടന്ന ശതാബ്ദി ആഘോഷം, അതിന്റെ പേരിലും അല്ലാതെയും UKKCA നേതാക്കള്‍ തേര്തെളിച്ചു നടത്തിയ പണപിരിവുകള്‍, നടക്കാതെ പോയ European കുടുംബമേള, UKKCA-പത്താം വാര്‍ഷികം, അങ്ങനെ പലതും.
പക്ഷെ, ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാന സംഭവം, സംഘടനയിലുണ്ടായ അധപതനമാണ്. ഒറ്റയടിക്ക്‌ സംഘടന അധപതിക്കുകയായിരുന്നില്ല; ഓരോ ഭരണസമതിയും അവരാല്‍ കഴിയുന്നത്ര ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ടാണിരുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോള്‍ അത് പൂര്‍ത്തി ആയി എന്ന് മാത്രം.
ഇന്ന്, ഇന്നാട്ടിലെ ക്നാനായ സമുദായം വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ സൃഷ്ട്ടിക്കുന്നു, മറ്റു ജനം ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പരിഹസ്യരാകുന്ന ക്നാനായജനം എന്തോ വലിയ കാര്യം സാധിച്ച മട്ടില്‍ ഞെളിയുന്നു! തണലിന് വേണ്ടി ആല്‍മരം അസ്ഥാനത് നട്ടു വളര്‍ത്തുന്നു നമ്മള്‍!
2004/05 - ല്‍ ഒരു മലയാളി സംഘടനയ്ക്ക് പാര വയ്ക്കാനായി Manchester Knanaya Unit-ന്റെ പേര് Manchester Knanaya Cultural Association എന്നാക്കി. UKKCA യുടെ അന്ഗീകരതോടെ ആണ് അത് ചെയ്തതെന്ന് ഓര്‍ക്കുക. അന്ന് ആരും അതില്‍ ഒരു അധാര്‍മികത കണ്ടില്ല. എന്തോ വലിയ കാര്യം സാധിച്ച ഭാവം ആയിരുന്നു അന്ന് എല്ലാവര്ക്കും. Manchester Knanaya Cultural Association-ന്റെ ലേബലില്‍ അന്ന് ഞെളിഞ്ഞു നടന്നവര്‍ക്ക്, MKCA – യുടെ സാരധികളായി Unit-ലും Centre-ലും നടന്നവര്‍ക്ക്, ഇപ്പോള്‍ ബോധോദയം ഉണ്ടായി – Culture എന്ന വാക്കും ക്നാനയക്കാരനും തമ്മില്‍ എന്ത് ബന്ധം? പാടില്ല, നമുക്ക് Manchester Knanaya Catholic Association എന്ന പേര് തന്നെ വേണം. അങ്ങിനെ MKCA രണ്ടു കക്ഷണം. "വീണിതല്ലോ കിടക്കുന്നു ധരണിയില്‍............""
പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ ഒന്നും ആശയപരമല്ല; അധികാരത്തിന്റെതാണ്. കസേര കിട്ടിയവന്‍ അത് വിട്ടു കൊടുക്കില്ല; കിട്ടാത്തവന് അത് സഹിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഉള്ളവനും ഇല്ലാത്തവനും തമ്മിലുള്ള Conflict തന്നെ.
Central Committee പോലും ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഭിന്നാഭിപ്രായക്കാരാണ്. ചിലര്‍ പുതിയ Unit-നൊപ്പം; ചിലര്‍ അതിനെതിരാണ്. Spiritual Advisor എന്തെടുക്കുന്നു, എവിടെയാണ് എന്നാര്‍ക്കും അറിയില്ല.
പൊന്നു തിരുമേനിമാരേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഓരോ വര്‍ഷവും UKKCA-യുടെ ചെലവില്‍ ഒരു foreign trip തരമാകുന്നു എന്നതൊഴിച്ചാല്‍, ഇവിടെ ആര്‍ക്കും ഈ സംഘടനകൊണ്ട് യാതൊരു പ്രയോജനവും ഇല്ല. നാണക്കെടാണെങ്കില്‍ (നാണം ഉള്ളവര്‍ക്ക്) സഹിക്കവുന്നതില്‍ അധികം ആയി.
ദയവു ചെയ്തു ഈ പ്രഹസനം ഒന്ന് മതിയാക്കി തരാമോ? UKKCA എന്ന സംഘടനാഭാസം പിരിച്ചു വിടുന്നതായി ഒന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുമോ?

ReplyDeleteWell said...what is the benefits to ordinary Kna with UKKCA other than promoting some leaders and spending money... look at other community oragnisations... they are working with their members and promoting their unity, not through online medias or news paper ads, but through hardwork and dedication... we are fools, thinking anything is possible with our unity...but is time to think about it...do we have unity? Are we better than others...there are many other groups, smaller or larger, better organised than US...so it is time to dislove the UKKCA if it doesn't fit the purpose...

ReplyDeleteLook at any other Indian ethnic communities – say, Jain Community for an example. They have Community Halls in almost all U.K. cities and offer various facilities for the members of that Community. I know a friend of mine who got a job in Royal Mail Data Entry Centre after getting free typing training in a Jain Community Centre.
We think: WE ARE THE BEST RACE IN THE WORLD. And ours is the largest Malayalee Crowd in Europe. But with what benefit to the the community?
It is high time to think about doing something positive, in addition to the annual comedy called “Convention.”
The motto should be: Do Something Useful or Perish.
