പറയുന്നുണ്ട്. യഥാര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ 1986-ല്‍ റോമില്‍ നിന്നും
നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം ഉണ്ടാകാന്‍ കാരണം സമുദായം വിട്ടുപോയവര്‍ റോമില്‍ സമ്മര്‍ദ്ദം
നടത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടാണ്. അവരെ സഹായിക്കാന്‍ മാര്‍ മൂലക്കാട്ടും മോണ്‍: മുത്തോലവും കൂടി
ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ പഴുതുകള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയ ഫോര്‍മുലയാണ് മാര്‍ വര്‍ക്കി
വിതയത്തിലിനെക്കൊണ്ട് മാര്‍ അങ്ങാടിയത്തിനോട് പറയിപ്പിച്ചത്. ഈ സമയത്ത് മാര്‍ അങ്ങാടിയത്ത്

പഴയ സഭയിലേക്ക് തിരികെ പോകാമെന്നുമാണ് അവിടെ പറയുന്നത്. നമ്മളിവിടെ പുരുഷന്റെ
വിവാഹക്കാര്യം ചര്‍ച്ചചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ സ്ത്രീയുടെ വിവാഹക്കാര്യമാണ് പിതാവ്
പറയുന്നത്. നമ്മുടെ പ്രശ്‌നവുമായി ഇതിന് യാതൊരു ബന്ധവുമില്ല. വളരെ ദുര്‍ബലവും
അനവസരത്തിലുള്ളതുമായ ഈ നിയമവശം ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്നതല്ല. ഇവിടെ
സ്വയാധികാരസഭയില്‍ പെട്ട തെക്കുംഭാഗരും വടക്കുംഭാഗരും തമ്മിലുള്ള വിവാഹപ്രശ്‌നമാണ്
ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നത്.
ഒരു കത്തോലിക്ക വ്യക്തിയും മറ്റ് മതവിശ്വാസിയും തമ്മില്‍
അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തില്‍ നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നതിന് സഭ എതിരല്ല.
മിശ്രവിവാഹിതര്‍ക്കുളള ഈ നിയമമാണ് ക്നാനായ വ്യക്തിയുടെ മിശ്രവിവാഹത്തിന്
അടിസ്ഥാനമായി മാര്‍മൂലക്കാട്ട് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നത്. സീറോ മലബാര്‍ സഭയില്‍പ്പെട്ട രണ്ട്
വിഭാഗം കത്തോലിക്കര്‍ തമ്മിലുളള വിവാഹത്തിന് ഈ നിയമം ബാധകമല്ല; അത് നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്നതുമല്ല.
പിതാവിന്റെ ലേഖനത്തില്‍ വിചിത്രമായ ഒരു വിലയിരുത്തല്‍
ഉണ്ട്. ഇന്‍ഡ്യയില്‍ ക്നാനായ സമുദായം അവംലബിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എന്‍ഡോഗമി അമേരിക്കയില്‍
നടപ്പിലാക്കരുത് എന്നാണ് നിര്‍ദ്ദേശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
അതിനര്‍ത്ഥം ഇന്‍ഡ്യയുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ ഈ
രീതിതുടരുന്നതിനെ പരിശുദ്ധ സിംഹാസനം ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല എന്നാണല്ലോ! പിതാവിന്റെ
ഈ വ്യാഖ്യാനം തെറ്റാണ്. ഇന്‍ഡ്യന്‍ രീതി അമേരിക്കയിലേക്ക് ഇറക്കുമതി ചെയ്യണ്ട
എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ ഇന്‍ഡ്യന്‍ രീതി ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കുസ്വീകാര്യമല്ലെങ്കിലും ഇപ്പോഴൊന്നും
പറയുന്നില്ല അമേരിക്കയിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടു വരണ്ട എന്ന വ്യാഖ്യാനമാണ് കൊടുക്കേണ്ടത്.

അമേരിക്കയിലെ പോലെ ഇവിടെയും നടപ്പിലാക്കുക മുന്‍പറഞ്ഞ ദുര്‍വ്യാഖ്യാനത്തില്‍ നിന്നും
പിതാവിന്റെ ഗൂഢലക്ഷ്യം വ്യക്തമാകും.

നടപ്പിലാക്കും എന്നാണ്. ഷിക്കാഗോയിലെ പ്രസംഗത്തില്‍ പറഞ്ഞത് മിശ്രവിവാഹിതരായ
ആരെങ്കിലും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടാല്‍ നാട്ടിലും ഈ രീതി നടപ്പിലാകും എന്നാണ്.
ആകെകൂടി നോക്കിയാല്‍ മിശ്രവിവാഹിതനുവേണ്ടി വാദിക്കുന്ന ഒരു
മെത്രാനായിട്ടേ മാര്‍ മൂലക്കാടിനെ കാണാനാകു. റോം നിര്‍ദ്ദേശിച്ചതിലും, മിശ്രവിവാഹിതന്‍
ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതിലും അപ്പുറം മാര്‍ മൂലക്കാട്ടും മുത്തോലവും കൂടി സാധിച്ചു
കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ്. സഭാപരമായ വളര്‍ച്ചയ്ക്കാണ് ഇതൊക്കെ ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്നു പറയുന്നു;
ആ വളര്ച്ച അവരുടെ സ്വന്തം വളര്‍ച്ചമാത്രമാണെന്നു സമുദായം തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നു.

ക്നാനായ മാതാപിതാക്കളില്‍ നിന്നും ജനിക്കുന്നവര്‍ മാമ്മോദീസായിലൂടെയാണ് ക്‌നാനായക്കാരാകുന്നത്. ക്നാനായ വോയ്‌സ് മറ്റൊരിടത്ത് ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നു
ക്‌നാനായക്കാരന്‍ അല്ലാത്ത ഒരാളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തിക്ക് സ്വന്തം ഇടവകയില്‍
തുടരാം എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ പങ്കാളി ക്നാനായ ഇടവകക്കാര്‍ അല്ലായിരിക്കും. ഇതിനു

ധാരണയില്‍ KCCNA നിസ്സഹകരണം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിലും ഇപ്പോള്‍ സഹകരണമായി

ആചാരാനുഷ്ടാനങ്ങള്‍ മാറ്റി മറിക്കുവാന്‍ രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ പേര് ചേര്‍ന്ന്
തീരുമാനിക്കുക; വിചിത്രമായിരിക്കുന്നു, ഇത്തരം ആളുകള്‍
എല്ലാ കാലത്തും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. സമൂഹം അവരെ ഒക്കെ പുറംതള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. ക്നാനായക്കാര്
ആര് എന്നതിന്റെ നിര്‍വ്വചനം തിരുത്തി മിശ്രവിവാഹതിരെ ഉളളില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിക്കാന്‍
ക്നാനായ കത്തോലിക്ക നേതൃത്വത്തിന് മാത്രം സാധ്യമല്ല. ഇതര സഭകളിലും ക്നാനായ എന്‍ഡോഗമി
പാലിക്കുന്നവര്‍ ഉണ്ടെന്ന വിവരം മൂലക്കാട്ട് പിതാവ് അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കണം.
സമുദായ താല്പര്യം മാത്രം കണ്ടുകൊണ്ട് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ച മാര്‍

നേടിയെടുത്ത് ചിലര്‍ പിതാവിന്റെ നിലപാടിനെ പഠനമനനങ്ങള്‍ കൂടാതെ അനുകൂലിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
ഇവര്‍ അറിയാതെ തന്നെ സമുദായവഞ്ചകരായി മാറുകയാണ്.
സമുദായത്തിന്റെ ഒരുമയും സഹകരണവും അനുഭവിച്ച് സുഖകരമായി ഇടവക
ഭരിക്കുന്ന വൈദീകരാണ് കോട്ടയം അതിരൂപതയിലുള്ളത്. അവരുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തിനും
ഇടവകയുടെ നടത്തിപ്പിനും ഹാനീകരമാകുന്ന ഒരു നിയമം മെത്രാന് ഏകപക്ഷീയമായി
പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടും എന്തേ വൈദീകഗണം ഒന്നും മിണ്ടാത്തത്? എല്ലാം
അനുഭവിക്കാന്‍ വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാണെന്ന ധാരണയില്‍ നമസ്‌കരിച്ചു നില്‍ക്കുകയും

മൂലക്കാട്ട് പിതാവ് പാവം ആണ്. വിനയം, എളിമ ,ത്യാഗം എന്നീ ഗുണങ്ങളാല്‍ സമ്പന്നന്‍ എന്നൊക്കെ ആണ് സഹായ മെത്രാനായി സ്ഥാനം കിട്ട്യപ്പോള്‍ അപ്ന ദേശ പറഞ്ഞത്.

DeleteIn India their was culture of sanyasa from ancient time. A poojari had the choice, either keep brhamcharyam or married life. In both cases he can do his priestly duty. Same is the case for all other Christian denominations except Catholics all over the world. I respect the catholic priest and nuns who keep brahmacharyam. The 1986 letter from Rome is for the American Bishops. Now, we are under Syro. So, that lettr has no effect on us. We are under Cardinal Alanchery. Let him decide. Why are Bishop Angadiyath, Arch Bishop Moolakkadan And Fr.Mutholom bringing 1986 problem now? KCCNA and Knanaya Congress should pursue the present situation through Cardinal Alancheril not through Rome. Our problem is between Chicgo and Kottayam Arch Dioces in the Syro Malabar Church not between American Catholic Church and Knanaya Mission.

DeleteI am afraid your comment contains a factually wrong statement which is misguiding.
As far as I am aware, Cardinal Alencherry's jurisdiction is limited to Kerala and a few neighboring South Indian states. Even Kalyan Diocese in Maharashtra is under Bombay Arch Diocese which has Latin rites.
Syro-Malayar faithfuls (Knanaya Catholics included) have been given a separate diocese in Chicago (Latin) Archdiocese. In this case, however, the Chicago Syro-Malabar Diocese is not under the Chicago Arch Diocese. I am told we come directly under Vatican. Thus Rome has every right to tell us what to do as long as we would like to remain as Catholics. Hence neither Cardinal Alencherry nor Mar Moolakkattu has nothing to do with the Syro-Malabar/Knanaya Catholics in USA. They keep poking their dirty noses in our life because we allow them to do that. And they do that because they have a hidden begging bowl in their hands.
I request some knowledgeable priests (I know, all of them are not knowledgeable)or others to clarify the situation. I could be wrong.

I would like to remember knanaya community is not responsible for obey all your personal bloody decisions. If you have soo personal liberalisation mind, please resigned the position of kottayam Bishops and join some other Diosis. All the knanayits dont have any problems. ReplyDeleteWe survived 16 centuries without bishop and own diocese.We presrve the community in America another 30-35 yers without bishop and own missions.Why North American syro give Knanaya missions? They know knanayakkar is an endogamous community.we have no doubt the defenition who is kanayakkar. But Moolakkat wrote new defenition that is his opinion. If you accept that and go with new reconstituted knanaya mission or parish, that is end of kna comminity. Mar vithayathil said when he came firt time in America(1998)kanaya community is world wonder then after creation of Moolakkat formula he said knaya community will perish in 50 years.Please raise your voice kick out the unwanted and preserve our community.

Moolakkat is far more religious than Kuriakose Kunnassery because he does not bother about your respectability, for the simple reason that it comes from a wrong source and a wrong racial understanding -- one thing. Secondly, he believes and challenges not to accept any respectability from like you insane people in Knanaya Community. To accept any respectability from this insane people means respecting the insanity of knanaya Community.' This man seems to be far more religious, far more spiritual, far more authentic like Jesus Christ.

തെണ്ടി പണി നടത്തി നാണം കേട്ടവന്‍ കല്യാണത്തിനും മരിച്ചടക്കിനും അടിയന്ത്രതിനും വിളിചില്ലങ്ങിലും പോകും. ഇപ്പോള്‍ വിരുന്നുകാരുടെ കൂടെ കയറി ഇരിക്കുകയും ചൈയ്യും. അതുപോലെ തന്നെയാണ് കേരള സഭയിലെ മെത്രാന്മാരും. ഈ കാലത്ത് തെണ്ടാലുകാരുടെ എണ്ണം കുറഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ അരപ്പട്ട കെട്ടിയവരുടെ എണ്ണം കൂടി. അതാണ് കേരള സഭയുടെ വളര്ച്ച. വിശ്വാസിയുടെ പേര് പറഞ്ഞു തെണ്ടുന്ന കുറെ Aristocratic Beggers. . ഈ ആര്‍ത്തി പണ്ടാരങ്ങളുടെ വിശപ്പ് ഒരിക്കലും തീരില്ല. വിശ്വാസി നീ ഓടി ഒളിക്കുക.

അത് ഒരു വശം. പക്ഷെ മൂലക്കാട് പിതാവ് ക്നാനായ സമുദായത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം ഒരു ശിക്ഷയാണ്. ആരോടും ആലോചിക്കാതെ, ചുറ്റുമുള്ള സീനിയറായ വൈദികരോടോ അല്മായസംഘടനകളുടെ നേതാക്കന്മാരോടോ ആലോചിക്കാതെ നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകള്‍ പഴക്കമുള്ള ഒരു ആചാരം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുക, അങ്ങിനെ സമുദായതെതന്നെ ഉത്മൂലനം ചെയ്യുക! അത്തരത്തില്‍ ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരാള്‍ ശിക്ഷ അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ മറ്റെന്താണ്?
ശിക്ഷയുടെ കാരണം ആലോചിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ തോന്നിയത് ഇതാണ്.
നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരിയായ ഒരു കന്യാസ്ത്രീ ദുരൂഹസാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു (ഇന്നലെ ഇരുപതു വര്ഷം തികഞ്ഞു). ക്നാനായ സമുദായത്തിന്റെ സഹതാപം കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട വ്യക്തിയോടോ അവരുടെ ബന്ധുക്കളോടോ ആയിരുന്നില്ല; ഘാതകര്‍ എന്ന് സംശയിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോടായിരുന്നു. അരമനവാസികളെയും, പള്ളിമേടയില്‍ കഴിയുന്നവരെയും രക്ഷിക്കാനാണ് നമ്മള്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചത്. അതിനായാണ് നമ്മളുടെ സമ്പത്തു മുഴുവന്‍ ചെലവാക്കിയത്. അത് ദൈവത്തിനു ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നുണ്ടോ?
ദൈവം സ്വര്ഗത്തിലിരുന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
“എന്റെ പ്രിയ പുത്രിയായ അഭയയെ കൊന്നവരോട് രോഷം കൊള്ളാത്ത ക്നാനായ സമുദായത്തിലെ പീറകളെ, നീയും നിന്റെ സമുദായവും നശിച്ചു പോകട്ടെ!”
അതിനുള്ള ഉപകരണമായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത് ജോണ്‍ സാറിന്റെ തിരുപുത്രനെ ആയിരുന്നു എന്ന് മാത്രം.
യാചകരുടെ കാര്യം എഴുതികണ്ടു. പണ്ടൊക്കെ പെരുന്നാള്‍ നടക്കുന്ന പള്ളികളില്‍ യാചകര്‍ എത്തുമായിരുന്നു. ഇന്ന് കണ്വെണന്ഷ്ന്‍ നടക്കുന്നിടത്താണ് യാചകര്‍. കാലം മാറുകയല്ലേ!
മൂലക്കാട്ട് തിരുമേനി ഒരു കാര്യത്തില്‍ സന്തോഷിക്കണം. പണ്ട് തിരുമേനിമാര്ക്ക് ജനവികാരം മനസ്സിലാക്കാന്‍ ഒരു മാര്ഗവും ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു. കൂടെയുള്ള കള്ളകത്തനാമാര്‍ പറയുന്നത് മാത്രമായിരുന്നു ആശ്രയം. മൂലക്കാട്ട് പിതാവ് എത്ര ഭാഗ്യവാന്‍ - ഇന്റര്നെറ്റ്‌ തുറന്നൊന്നു നോക്കേണ്ട താമസം: ജനവികാരം ഒഴുകുന്നത്‌ കാണാം! കണ്ണ് ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്‍)

It is a helpless situation in knanaya community. Kottayam diocese leadership is now going like "a parent sending his daughter for prostitution".

Knanaya or Catholic -- just different brands of cigarettes! The same tobacco is used, the same paper is used, it may even be the same manufacturer. Just different names!
ReplyDeleteFor the growth and development of the community, the present status of the community is essential. The new formula, if accepted, will eventually make the community extinct. A reviewing of the formula is very much needed.
ReplyDeleteIf the Knanayites are now in Syro-Malabar and Syro-Malankara rites, desiring Knanyites could request to be under the jurisdicion of the Latin Hierarchy in their respective countries.
ReplyDeleteThose desiring to keep up the endogomous practice have been blessed with a diocese in the Syro-Malabar rite. But the present formula could lead to the suppression of Kottayam Archdiocese because it will become irrelevant.
It is really very disheartening to look to the future of the end of a diocese that was specially for the Knanaya community.
I beleive that if rightful representations is made to the Holy See, it could extend the Sui juris jurisdicton. We may not need another diocese. What we may need is the One Archdiocese with may be more Auxiliaries.

In a religious point of view, I dont think those who married outside kna will benefit anything from joining knanaya community,but their will be personal and social problems in human relations in their families(they have a parents,brothers,sisters,friends in knanaya). Knas have it in their genes(Indian practice of communal marriage like brahmins,kshathriya etc) for 16-17 centuries. When some wise namboorians like E.M.S ,V.N poonnool potticherinjappol,ayithamanobhavam upekshichappol yadhasthithikar chandrahasamilakki. Marichindichavar shariyum mattavar mooddanmarumanennu kalam theliyichuthannu. Christhavaparamaya(sabhaparavum) valarchkkku ee samoohathinu thadassam nilkkunna oru sangathiyanu endogomy(disability in evangelising ministry). As a knanite, I have decided to find a knanaya partner and so does the whole KCYL members..If the rules are changing then what is the point of being single all my life and trying to find a knanaya partner?? I could have gone for non knanaite and come back as knanaya. If we are allowing non knanayas to join in the, then what is the point of "endogamy"..

The 18 centuries old definition of knanata told to you by the parents who gave birth to you or the new-found definition being sold by Muthu, Moola & Angadi.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the point in blaming Our Rev. Arch bishop for the inability of many knanaya people to follow endogamy?
Who is to blame for the inability of knanaya people to understand the message from their loving and caring Arch bishop?
Who ever trying to mislead the knanaya people by turning them against their divine leader, by misitrepreting the message of their beloved Arch bishop in to a conspiracy to sell the knanaya endogamy, is just trying to benefit from the fight and misunderstanding among kananya people so that they can delay our growth in the church.
Endogamy is something that is to be followed in the families of knanaya people. Parents have to educate their kids about the importance of following endogamy. If they are not able to do that and is afraid that their kids will marry from outside knanaya, why the priests and bishop is to be blamed?
As far as I know the Arch bishop always try only to unite the knanaya people and to lead them in faith.
All the accusations that you guys posted about Arch bishop Mar Mollakkatu are baseless. You guys are saying it just out of your ignorance about church and about the Bishop. You have to remember that God choose his leaders not based on political merit but based on purity and humbleness at heart. Jesus was here on earth and the big society leaders crucified him. Now you are doing the same to the Arch Bishp who is working and praying day and night for the people he is chosen to lead. Remember he is also a knanaya and do you think he wants to sell the endogamy to anyone? What is he going to get out of it? Please use your commonsense before you accuse him.
Please stop all this cheap statements and actions against the Bishop otherwise the knanaya people may get punished by God for not trusting in his chosen one. Remember it took 40 years instead of 40 days for Israel people to reach the promised land just becaouse they didn't listen to God's chosen leader. Knanaya people will get their rights from the church one day but it will just take time. How many years does it take for any saint to be called as a saint by church. Sometimes it happens hundreds of years after they die.
For the future of knanaya community all we have to do is to teach our kids to marry from our communityand to stay together as a community and grow in faith through the church. God granted us Diocese in Kerala only in 1911. It happened so many years after our migration to kerela. All those years we stayed together as a community. Those days too many of our people married outside knanaya community but most of us tried to practice endogamy and the knanaya society will never die if we just keep doing what we used to do all those years in Kerala. Stay with the church with patience and obedience. Rev. Mar Mathew Molakkattu is not selling our endogamy and he can never do that and he never will.
Please aware of the cunning people who spread all these alligations and cause us to fight against the church and its leadership. It is only good to delay us from getting a diocese in North America or where ever else we want it. There are some knanaya people who by their choice married outside kna and now regret that decision and wish to be accepted in the community as a family again. They are not able to get the recognition they wish to get in the community even though they are rich and well to do. So they don't like the knanaya people who try to isolate them and keep them away. Why should we people fall in to their trap and fight against our bishop.

Mar Mollakkattu was chosen by God to lead you. He didn't chose to lead but God called Mar Mollakkattu from the monastry to lead you guys. He hasn't done anything against knanaya people. He is just a simple, humble and truth ful person. Why are you guys angry at him for the false intrepretations given to him by our community enemies? He hasn't misused any of your money or hasn't showed any laxuary. If you know him enough none of you would make these statements against him. I pray to holy spirit to forgive whoever blame him out of ignorance and may God give us wisdom to understand the play by our community enemies for their own selfish gains.
In future, when we proceed with a marriage proposal with the son/daughter, of a member of any Knanaya Church of USA, we have to enquire in detail whether his/her mother is a Knanaya or not. We may be cheated if we proceed ahead only after hearing that the father of the bride/groom is a member of Knanaya Church in USA.
