We are writing this letter with reference to the ‘so called’ Wigan unit inauguration on 29th December by the Vice President of UKKCA which was accompanied by the Treasurer of UKKCA.
When the UKKCA Executive committee met MKCA committee on 4th December 2011, you (Mr. Instain, the Prez of UKKCA) signed on MKCA’s report book confirming that Wigan unit finalisation will only take place in the next National Council meeting. When the unit has not been finalized or recognised by UKKCA, how did the V.President Mr. Shelly Philip and the Treasurer Mr. Shaji Varakkudy together formally inaugurate the controversial Wigan unit. According to UKKCA bylaw article 4,sectionA , it clearly states that a new unit can only be granted permission at the national council meeting. Under these circumstances, could you please explain this gross misconduct of these two executive post holders in your committee of UKKCA, namely Shelly and Shaji. They have seriously gone against UKKCA’S bylaw.
MKCA’S committee met on 2nd January 2012 and unanimously condemned this incident by these two UKKCA central committee post holders. You are all aware from the last national council meeting that Wigan is a sensitive issue and a matter of serious controversy. Anyone would understand that when such serious issues regarding Wigan has not been finalised the V.Prez and Treasurer inaugurating the unit would aggravate the situation. OR DID THEY DO IT ON PURPOSE TO CAUSE DISHARMONY AND SOCIAL UNREST IN OUR COMMIUNITY? They have not only gone against UKKCA’s bylaw but also against the written confirmation given by the central committee’s decision that Wigan would be finalised at the next national council meeting. Should we believe that Shelly and Shaji do not care about what you, the President of UKKCA has given to MKCA’S Committee in writing? We are extremely sorry to ask you, if members of your own committee under you, do not value your word even when it’s given in writing, how do you expect the General public to value your word? Even you, Steby, the Secy of UKKCA told us, the Pres and Secy of MKCA that Wigan unit would only be recognised at the next national council meeting and that you don’t know how Shelly is going to inaugurate it and you condemned the act.
We are all the more concerned about Shaji Varakkudy, who is a member of our unit and was elected by our Gen body and then became the treasurer of UKKCA. Would you do this in your own unit? It is a highly embarrassing act by a responsible executive official of UKKCA to cause a split in his own unit, especially when it is not even recognised by the national council meeting. We deeply regret to say that we elected such a traitor to represent us at UKKCA.
Hence, the Committee of MKCA demand an explanation from you about what action you will be taking against these two Executive members under you, in your committee. Being a responsible President of UKKCA, I am sure you will agree with us that going against the UKKCA’s bylaw and the central committee’s decision given in writing by you, the Prez, is a serious misconduct by the V.Prez and Treasurer of UKKCA who are supposed to be leading and guiding more than 5000 Knanaya catholic members of UK. Under no circumstances can this irresponsible act be ignored.
We are awaiting a reply from you explaining the action that you will be taking against these two Executive members of your committee, who have caused great embarrassment to you and the community as a whole. Please give us a reply as soon as possible.

How can Sajan ask such an explanation when he himself had removed the president. What bylaw did you quote at that time.

ReplyDeleteപുതിയ വിഗന് യുനിറ്റില് അംഗത്വം എടുക്കാനായി എന്റെതുള്പ്പെംടുന്ന Bolton-ലെ മൂന്നു കുടുംബങ്ങളുടെ രാജി താങ്കള് കൂടി ഉള്പ്പെ ടുന്ന കമ്മിറ്റിയാണ് സ്വീകരിച്ചത്. Manchester Unit-ന്റെ പൂര്ണന അറിവോടെ ആയിരുന്നു അതൊക്കെ.
2003 November-ല് രണ്ടേ രണ്ടു യുനിറ്റുമായി തുടങ്ങിയ UKKCA, 2011 ആയപ്പോള് 43 യുനിടുള്ള വലിയ സംഘടന ആയി. അതില് സമുദായന്ഗങ്ങള് എല്ലാം സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു, അഭിമാനിക്കുന്നു. വിഗാന് യുനിടിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില് മാത്രം എന്തേ ഇത്ര കരച്ചിലും പിഴിച്ചിലും? കുറെ പേര്ക്ക് കൂടി നേതൃത്വനിരയിലേയ്ക്ക് വരുവാന് സാധിച്ചു, നമ്മുടെ കുട്ടികള്ക്ക് കൂടുതല് അവസരങ്ങള് ലഭിക്കുന്നു, അവിടെ കാര്യ പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള നേതാക്കളുണ്ട് – ഇതൊക്കെയല്ലാതെ വിഗാന് യുണിറ്റ് തുടങ്ങിയത്കൊണ്ട് ആകാശം വല്ലതും ഇടിഞ്ഞുവീണോ? എന്തിനാണ് ഇത്ര വെപ്രാളം?

This is a personal letter and I wonder how it leaked out. or did Sajan and Jishu forward to all the National Council members without waiting for a reply from the UKKCA president. ReplyDeleteIf we take a minute reflecting on our personal growth, proffessional growth and the growth of our community since our migration to the UK we might feel that we have achieved a lot. But is it really in terms of our community.
Every year we spend around £25000 for the UKKCA convention itself,in addition much more expenses which I am not sure about. I feel that we never truly appreciate what we have, until its gone.
UKKCA has never shown any interest in helping or empowering deprived and disadvantaged individuals living in our home country especially children. I just wonder why UKKCA constantly talks about 'THANIMA'.
What really have we achieved in the last 10 years.

MKCA ഇപ്പോള് പല്ലും രോമവും കൊഴിഞ്ഞ സിംഹമമാണ്. നശിച്ച ഇല്ലം പോലെ ആളും ഇല്ല അര്ത്ഥവും ഇല്ല. അര്ത്ഥം ഇല്ല തതുകൊണ്ട് ഉണ്ണി യേശുവിനെ കൊണ്ടുനടന്നു പാട്ടുപാടി പണം പിരിച്ചു. പക്ഷെ പഴയ വീട്ടുവേലക്കാരന്റെ മക്കള് രക്ഷപെട്ടത് സഹിക്കുന്നില്ല. പൊളിഞ്ഞ ഇല്ലത്തിരുന്നു ഞരങ്ങിയാല് ആരാ തിരിഞ്ഞു നോക്കുന്നത് ഇക്കാലത്ത്? തുത്തുകുനുക്കി പക്ഷിക്ക് ഒരു ധാരണ ഉണ്ട് താന് തുത്ത് കുനുക്കിയാല് ലോകം കുലുങ്ങുമെന്നു. . ഈ മനോഭാവമാണ് ഇപ്പോഴും MKCA യുടെ

ReplyDeleteഅംഗങ്ങള് കൊഴിഞ്ഞു പോയ Manchester Unit-ന്റെ President-ന്റെയും Secretary-യുടെയം പദവികള് എന്തോ വലിയ സംഭവമാണെന്ന് ഏതോ തല്പeരകക്ഷികള് (ആരാണെന്നു തലയ്ക്കകത്ത് മൂള ഉള്ളവര്ക്കെതല്ലാം അറിയാം!) നിങ്ങളെ വിശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു. നിങ്ങള്, പാവങ്ങള്, അത് അപ്പടി വിശ്വസിച്ചു! നിങ്ങള്ക്ക്ഹാ കഷ്ടം! ഇന്നാട്ടില് ഒരു പട്ടിയും UUKMA President-നോ, UKKCA President-നോ പുല്ലു വില കൊടുത്തിട്ടില്ല, കാരണം, ഇവിടെ എല്ലാവരും ജോലി ചെയ്താണ് ജീവിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ പുല്ലന് Presidentമാര് വിചാരിച്ചാല് ഒരു driving violation-ല് നിന്ന് പോലും ആരെയും രക്ഷിക്കാന് സാധിക്കുകയില്ല. പിന്നെ, വേദിയില് കോമാളി വേഷം കെട്ടി നില്ക്കുമെന്ന് മാത്രം. ആ നിലയ്ക്ക് Manchester “പാരവാഹികള്ക്ക്” ജനം എന്ത് വില കല്പ്പി ക്കുന്നു എന്ന് സുബോധത്തോടെ ചിന്തിച്ചു നോക്കുക.
നിങ്ങള് കേന്ദ്രകമ്മിറ്റിയ്ക്ക് എഴുതിയ കത്ത് നിങ്ങളുടെ വിവരക്കേടിന്റെ സ്മാരകമാണ്. അത് NC Member-മാര്ക്ക് അയച്ചു കൊടുത്തതാകട്ടെ നിങ്ങള് അറിവില് ശിശുക്കളാണെന്നതിന്റെ തെളിവും. തെറ്റുകള് എറ്റു പറഞ്ഞാല് ക്നാനയമാക്കള് നിങ്ങളോട് ക്ഷമിക്കും. എന്നിട്ട്, ഇത്തരം പറ്റാത്ത പണികളൊക്കെ നിര്ത്തി, വീട്ടില് വല്ല ജോലിയും ചെയ്തു സഹായിക്ക്. കണ്ട അണ്ടന് അടകോടന് പറയുന്നത് കേട്ട് സ്വയം നാറരുത്.
Just one question/point to make... to the president of wigan unit: I saw your speech on youtube...excellent speech however if the whole point of Kna is unity then why detach yourself from MKCA? Isn’t MKCA the first unit of its kind in Manchester region? Until recently it was the biggest UKKCA unit! Also more to the point what are you teaching youngsters from the creation of wigan unit?
ReplyDeleteYes i know the running of MKCA was not right etc etc however these things should have been sorted out by people like urself mr president not by the creation of another unit. We took pride in saying we are part Manchester knanaya catholic association. If your family goes through a crisis is the immediate appropriate action to alienate yourself from the family? I presume you being a man of honor would do no such thing.
To MKCA president and secrateray – i think it is obvious to the whole kna people in the UK that you guys created unnecessary problems within the MKCA which could have been resolved if you all bothered to work together as sensible people instead of the drama’s which you lot played. If certain people voiced that elections etc was not conducted in an orderly manner then why not conduct a re-election...what were you and your committee members afraid of? Also mr sajan you have “disqualified” the actual elected president of MKCA...people like yourself make me laugh because you simply do not have a clue what you do!
I urge you so called honoured men’s of our society to re-think the message you are sending out the knanaya youths of tomorrow. This goes to the president of wigan unit as well as the MKCA committee members including the so called new president mr jishu and sajan chacko. Resolve your issues on a table as gentlemen!

ReplyDeleteInstead of blaming each other using bad language, let us discuss important matters. This Proud Kna (I wish he had used his real name, though) has asked some important questions to the leaders of Wigan and Manchester Units. It is for them to answer these questions.
Let us see if any of them will give an answer for all of us to read.

Wondefull programme by wigan....all the members looked happy and committed ....you should be ashamed of your MKCA and look and learn from WKCA.!! who cares if wigan got approval or not....they will still go on as a unit...and why are you talking about the youth..so much in your letter...i have never seen these youth from wkca in mkca...only the same youth faces everytime...
now the children are getting more chances to express their talents. i wish all WKCA members all the best.
who is jishu?? did any general body select him as the president of MKCA?? then who is he.??.we are the general body ..we dont know how he became the president?? we cant accept him as a president. so please get out of the position..otherwise it will be a burden for all the knanaits.

if a statment or decision was made which was that wigan unit crisis will be finalised during the next national council meeting then it should not have been inagurated before that meeting. It is WRONG one wrong does not make another wrong a right does it!

ReplyDeleteYou are very right and for your information I have read the whole of bible and if you are going to use bible for your argument I can easily do the same thing...but I do not wish to go there...beside how on earth can you compare Abraham and Lot's disagreement with that of the creation Wigan unit, MKCA scandals? It cannot be compared because ultimately we are Kna's and if we have arguments and separations amongst ourself then one day we will cease to exist! You mark my word on that!

ReplyDeleteഒരു പുതുവര്ഷം കൂടി വന്നു. ക്നാനായ മക്കള് വീണ്ടും election നേരുടുന്നു. ഒളിഞ്ഞും തെളിഞ്ഞും ചാക്കിടുവാന് തുടങ്ങി. ഈ സമയം MKCA യുണിറ്റ് കാര്യങ്ങള് മനസിലാക്കണം. ഓണം കഴിഞ്ഞു നടന്ന തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പു മുതല് വാര്ത്തകള് നിറഞ്ഞു. ലോകത്തൊരിടത്തും കേള്കാത്ത ഒരു തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പു. മൊത്തം voting മെംബേര്സ് എത്ര എന്ന് പോതുഗോഗത്തെ വിവരം അറിയിക്കണം. അത് നടന്നില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ 4 പേര് തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപെട്ടു. നിയമപ്രകാരം അത്രയും പറ്റുമോ ?. വിഗാന് യുണിറ്റ് ഉണ്ടായി. കുറെ പേര് രാജി വച്ച് പോയി. നാട് വിട്ടവരും സ്ഥലം മാറിയവരും ഒക്കെ ഇടം കണ്ടത്തി. പഠിക്കുവാന് വന്നവരെ ഫാമിലി ആയി കണക്കാക്കി എണ്ണം കൂട്ടി വച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ മെംബേര്സ് നെ മാത്രമല്ല മൊത്തം UK യിലെ ക്നാനായ മക്കള് പറ്റിക്കപെട്ടു. ഇങ്ങനെ എല്ലാ യുണിറ്റ് കാരും നോക്കിയിരുന്നങ്കില് മൊത്തം National Members എത്ര വന്നേനെ?
കളി പഠിക്കണമെങ്കില് MKCA യില് വന്നു കളി പഠിക്കുക. തന്നെയുമല്ല പൊതുയോഗം അറിയാതെ പുതിയ പ്രസിഡന്റ് വന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ഉള്ള ഒരാളെ എങ്ങനെ national council വോട്ട് നല്കും.
Presiding ഓഫീസര് മുതല് National Council മെംബേര്സ് വരെ MKCA യുടെ Voters ലിസ്റ്റ്, തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ എണ്ണം ഒക്കെ ഒന്ന് പഠിക്കണം. ഈ പണികള് നടത്തിയവര് ആരായാലും അവരോ കൂട്ടുനിന്നവരോ സെന്ട്രല് കമ്മറ്റിയിലേക്ക് മത്സരിച്ചാല് പരാച്ചയപ്പെടുത്തണം എന്ന് അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. ഇല്ലങ്കില് അടുത്ത കളി UKKCA യില് ആയിരിക്കും

ReplyDeleteManchester ക്നാനായ അസോസിയേഷന് വീണ്ടും പിളര്ന്നു. കേരള കൊണ്ഗ്രെസ്സ് പോലെ തന്നെ പല തുണ്ടായി. കാര്യത്തിനു തീരുമായി എന്ന് കരുതുന്നവര്ക്ക് തെറ്റി. ആരാണ് ഇനി ഒറിജിനല്. തര്ക്കം തുടങ്ങി. UKKCAവോടിംഗ് നടക്കാന് ഇരിക്കുന്നു. ഒത്തിരി മോഹവും ആയി കൊട്ട് ഇട്ടു നടന്ന നേതാവ് UKKCA പ്രസിഡന്റ് സ്ഥാനത്തിനു ഇറങ്ങി എന്ന് കേള്കുന്നു. ഇനി പറയണോ പൂരം.
എന്തുകൊണ്ട് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് എന്ന് ബസ് സ്റ്റാന്ഡില് പുസ്തകം വില്കുന്നവരെപോലെ നമ്മള് ചോദിക്കുന്നു. ഉത്തരം ആരാണ് നല്കുക.
വിവരം ഉള്ളവരെ കഴിഞ്ഞ കാലങ്ങളില് നമ്മള് National കൌണ്സില് മെംബേര്സ് ആക്കിയില്ല അതോ നമ്മളില് ഇല്ലഞ്ഞിട്ടോ?. അതില് നിന്ന് വേണമല്ലോ ഒരാള് പ്രസിഡന്റ് മുതലായവരെ തിരഞ്ഞു പിടിക്കാന്. കാലം മാരിയതനുസരിച്ചു ബൈലോ മാറ്റിയില്ല. ചിലര് അതിനെ എതിര്ത്ത് നിന്നു. കൂട്ടിനു ഒരച്ഛനും. തന്റെ പ്രിയനേ നേതാവക്കാന് വേണ്ടി നടത്തിയ നാടകം വേറെ. അവസാനമായി അദേഹം ഇറക്കി പത്രത്തില് കൊടുത്ത എഴുത്ത് വായിച്ചാല് കാണുന്നവര്ക്ക് അറിയില്ലേ ഒരു പഷം ചേര്ന്നുള്ള പരിപാടി ആണന്നു.
UKKCA പ്രസിഡന്റ് ആള് ഒരു കേമന് ആരെയും വെറുപ്പിക്കാതെ എല്ലായിടത്തും കൂടും. പിന്നെ പറയണോ പൂരം. നട്ടല്ല് ഇല്ലാത്തവര് ആയാല് ഇങ്ങനെ ഇരിക്കും. എന്താണ് പോംവഴി?
മറ്റു യുണിറ്റ് കാരെ വോടിംഗ് പരിപാടിയില് പങ്കെടുപ്പിച്ചു ELECTION നടത്തട്ടെ. Manchester തല്ക്കാലം മാറി നില്കട്ടെ. പുതിയ ഭാരവാഹികള് ചുമതല ഏറ്റു കഴിഞ്ഞു ബൈലോ ഭേദഗധി വരുത്തി ചര്ച്ച നടത്തട്ടെ. തല്കാലം Manchesterല് നിന്നും ആരും പ്രസിഡന്റ് ആയില്ലന്കിലും UKKCAമുന്പോട്ടുപോകും. ഈ കീഴ് വഴക്കം അമേരിക്കയില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. തര്ക്കം വന്ന യുണിറ്റ്ലെ മെംബേര്സ് വോടിംഗ് നടത്തിയില്ല.
ഇതിനു പറ്റിയില്ലങ്ങില് കേദ്രം Voters ലിസ്റ്റ് പരിശോധന നടത്തി ചര്ച്ച ചെയ്തു അവരുടെ നിരീക്ഷണത്തില് പുതിയ election നടത്തട്ടെ. സാധാരണ ക്നനയക്കാരന് ഇതിലൊന്നും താല്പര്യമില്ല. പണി എടുക്കുന്നു. ജീവിക്കുന്നു. ഒരു പുതിയ യുണിറ്റ് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിനു എതിരെ ഇത്രയും വലിയ കോലാഹലം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതല്ലേ പ്രശ്നം ഇത്രയും രൂക്ഷമാക്കിയത് ?. ദൂരവും എണ്ണവും ആയിരുന്നോ പ്രധാനം മനസുകളുടെ പോരുത്തമല്ലേ? യുണിറ്റ് ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാന് നോക്കിയവര്ക്കെതിരെ നടത്തിയ നാടകമോ അതിലും കേമം. എല്ലാറ്റിനും കൂട്ടിനു ഒരു ഉപദേശി. ഒന്നും അറിയാത്തവനെ പോലെ തിരശീലക്കു പുറകില്. കണ്ണടച്ച് പാലുകുടിക്കുന്ന പൂച്ചയെ പോലെ. Manchester ലെ സാധാരണക്കാരന് വരെ കാര്യം അറിയാം.
ഒന്നും പറ്റിയില്ലങ്കില് മൊത്തമായും ചില്ലറയായും നമുക്ക് പിരിയാം.
" നാന്സിക്ക് വേണമെങ്കില് പോകാം മനസ്സില് കുറ്റബോധം തോന്നി തുടങ്ങിയാല് ചെയ്യ്യുന്നത് എല്ലാം യാത്രികമായിരിക്കും" എന്ന ഡയലോഗ് പോലെ നമുക്ക് പിരിയാം.
പാര്ട്ടി ഓഫീസില്ലാത്തത് നന്നായി ഇല്ലയിരുന്നകില് അതിനു വേണ്ടി ഇപ്പോള് അടി തുടങ്ങിയേനെ. അത് BBC റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് ചെയയ്യുമായിരുന്നു. പ്രസിഡന്റ് വന്നു ജുബിലീ നടതിയതിനെക്കാളും coverge കിട്ടിയേനെ. കഴ്ടം. നമ്മളായിട്ടു നശിപ്പിച്ചു.
പക്ഷെ ഭാര്യ ഏതു ഗ്രൂപ്പില് ആണന്നു നോക്കണം. ഇല്ലങ്കില് വീട്ടിലും പിളര്പ്പാകും. അത് പറഞ്ഞു തീര്ക്കാന് വീണ്ടും ഈ അച്ഛന് വരണം ഇപ്പോള് തന്നെ അദേഹം തിരക്കില് ആണ്.

Dear all at MKCA & UKKCA.
ReplyDeleteWith love and due respect to all, let me mention a few things in the context of the above letter and the forthcoming UKKCA elections. We the knanaya community members, like all other immigrants,are in UK in search of a better life for us and our children. We are struggling day & night to achieve this primary objective. Here we are living in the midst of various problems like different cultures, nationalities, job insecurities and many unexpected situations. To take some solace from these day to day problems, we formed our knanaya associations with a spirit of love. Let us make our UKKCA units a medium for spreading love & fraternity and no cause for bitterness.
The recent developments in the Manchester unit have pained all the knanaya community members across the UK. It has started with the unit election. Without blaming anyone in particular, I must say all the then unit office bearers have failed in their duty to conduct the proceedings in the spirit of love and togetherness. It could have been solved without making further damage to the community spirit, if our spiritual adviser had acted timely instead of going to online newspaper belatedly. Now the basic principles of love & togetherness of the association have been put on stake by the MKCA leadership. Rules & laws are made for the well being of the people to live more peacefully & happily. Any rule which is against this principle can be changed at anytime but the happiness of the people should be paramount.
The present problem of the MKCA has now become a problem for the UKKCA in total. By disintegration of members by resignations and by forming of separate units the original MKCA is in total disarray. Due to the above situations the UKKCA leadership and the national council may be compelled to take unpleasant decisions which may not be good in the best interest of the community. I, therefore, appeal to the MKCA leaders to save the association from further embarrassment by voluntarily staying away from the forthcoming UKKCA election process ie; from voting and contesting as well. This will not make you small in any way but by doing this you can use this opportunity as a minimum damage control and can stop further escalation of rift. The new national council will surely help to bring back the love & togetherness once again to the members of Manchester area.
