അല്മായര്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ പഠിക്കണമെന്ന് സഹായമെത്രാന്‍
ഏകപക്ഷീയമായി മാര്‍ മാത്യു മൂലക്കാട്ട് ക്നാനായ വംശീയ അംഗത്വത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അമേരിക്കയില്‍ നടത്തിയ വിവാദപ്രഖ്യാപനവും സമുദായക്കാരില്‍ ഉളവാക്കിയ ആശങ്കയും ഇല്ലാതാക്കുന്നതിനായി ഇന്ന് (2012 March 20) ക്നാനായ കത്തോലിക്ക കോണ്‍ഗ്രസുമായി നടത്തിയ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച്ച വിജയിച്ചില്ല.
സഭാപരമായി നമ്മള്‍ വളരുന്നതിന് ഈ രീതി അവലംബിക്കണമെന്ന് വിശദീകരിച്ച് മൂലക്കാട്ട് തന്റെ മുന്‍ നിലപാടില്‍ ഉറച്ചുനിന്നു. ക്‌നാനായപള്ളികള്‍ സമുദായക്കാര്‍ക്ക് മാത്രമുള്ളതാണെന്നും സമുദായത്തേയും പള്ളിയേയും രണ്ടായിക്കാണാനാവില്ലെന്നും ക്നാനായ കത്തോലിക്ക കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് നിലപാടെടുത്തതാണ് ചര്ച്ച പരാജയപ്പെടാന്‍ കാരണം ക്നാനായ മാതാപിതാക്കളില്‍ നിന്നു ജനിക്കുന്നവരും അത് അനുവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നവരുമാണ് ക്‌നാനായക്കാര്‍ എന്ന പരമ്പരാഗത നിലപാടില്‍ നിന്നും മാറാനാവില്ലെന്നും അത്മായനേതാക്കള്‍ പിതാവിനെ അറിയിച്ചു. സമുദായത്തിന് ലോകത്തിലെല്ലായിടത്തും ഒരു നിയമവും ഒരു കീഴ്‌വഴക്കവും മാത്രമേ പാടുള്ളു എന്നും ചര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തവര്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. മിശ്രവിവാഹിതരാകുന്ന ക്‌നാനായപുരുഷനേയും സ്ത്രീയെയും ഇടവകയില്‍ നിലനിര്‍ത്തുകയും അവരുടെ പങ്കാളിയേയും മക്കളേയും ഇടവകയില്‍ ചേര്‍ക്കാത്തതിന്റേയും വൈരുദ്ധ്യത അംഗങ്ങള്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി
അത്മായര്‍ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ കൂടിതല്‍ പഠിക്കണമെന്ന് ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കൊച്ചുപിതാവിന്റെ പ്രസംഗത്തോടെ യോഗം അവസാനിച്ചു.
ചര്‍ച്ചയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം കെ സി സി അംഗങ്ങള്‍ യോഗം ചേര്‍ന്ന് സംഘടനയുടെ വിപുലമായ യോഗം വിളിച്ച് സമുദായക്കാരെ വിവരം ധരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് തീരുമാനിച്ചു. അഭിവന്ദ്യ പിതാവിന്റെ നിലപാടില്‍ അംഗങ്ങള്‍ അതൃപ്തി പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുകയും പ്രസ്തുത വിവരം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി അരമനയില്‍ ഏല്പ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
യോഗത്തില്‍ ഇരുപതോളം അംഗങ്ങള്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു. പിതാക്കന്മാര്‍ക്കു പുറമെ ചാന്‍സിലറും വികാരി ജനറാളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

You will face discrimination suits. Have you ever thought of that? You have to pay millions. The mainstream media will ridicule you and shame you.
In India, many things are possible. But can we do it here in America?
If an Irish church removes a parishioner for marrying from outside Irish community, what will happen? lawsuits and millions in damages. If a white marries a black, can the whites remove him from their community?
No. Only Ku Klux Klan will ask for that. So be realistic.
I agree,.... be realistic. Do a study and see how many Knanites in the USA married whites, blacks, hispanics, North Indians? With the current condition in the USA, our kids have chance to meet their fellow Knanites EVERY WEEK! you teach your children about the benefit of endogamy, if any. Kna chaurches provide them the chance to meet each other. 17 century ancestry and all are useless to our next generation growing up in the uSA. KCCNA needs to cooperate with the churches to promote Knananism.

ReplyDeleteThey have been removing people from Knanaya Churches in America because he/she married from outside. The VG in Chicago has in the past openly declared that he will never bless a mixed marriage. As a punitive measure, when the daughter/son of a member of the so called "Knanaya" Mission wanted to marry someone outside Knanaya Community, there was total non-cooperation from the side of our mission. Although the parents have been paying through their nose for the purchase and maintenance of the church and for paying salary to the priests, they were not allowed to conduct their children's marriage in "their" church. And the authorities always got away with it.
How many such parents served a legal notice to the church authorities? None. They are lilly-livered cowards. When a community is a bunch of such timid spineless lot, the clergy can do what they want.
And that is what is happening here.
Be realistic!
Dear freind in every society or community there are some rules and regulations, for example if you want to be a citizen of USA you have to follow the ruls of that country.IF there are no rules that community will not exist for long.This rule of marriage forms the basis of knanaya community.All the guys who are knanayites know this rule.And they know what happens when you break the rule.Then why make a fussabout it.If u wanna be knanayite follow the rule.

ReplyDeleteI had herd that Bishop Mathew Moolakat's brotherinlaw received many favors from the ouusted Mullappally and that why Moolakat is giving favor to him to now to continues in Knanaya church in chicagu. Can Bishop confirm if this true.
ReplyDeleteIn Europe and America we allowed the Knanaya meber who married a non Knanaya to be with us. I think down the line in Europe and America after two or three generation, the Knanayaites will shrink. This will give inspration to the young generation to marry from out side, because he in. If that happen the comming years numbers of the Knanayites decrease.

ReplyDeleteIn India the Brahmins have started eating pork with Pulayas as they are also human beings and even much better than their counterparts in US under whom most of the white knas are earning their daily bread and paying their bills.
If we can accept people from other community there is no difference between Kna and others, so we don't need separate bishop. And if the kna Jacobite continue with the old rule we can go and join with them, moolakkadan can go to Pala, kothamangalam, idukki or any other diocese and serve them instead of bringing non kna people to our community
ReplyDeleteAs with occupy wall street, occupy syromalabar momentum is approaching. We all have to occupy one church at a time and evict the syros from their church to get our rights. This is the only way, writing will not help. this is the easiest solution. Also send moolakat to Sanyasi Sabha in Italy. He has no clue what harm he is doing to the knanaya community. I hear some moolakat relatives are backing moola just because they are from Moolakat. Send the American renly to Sanyasi Sabha also.

Do not think descrimination is such a simple term. An organization can be incorporated with specific requirements and deny membership based on that and it does not amount to descrimination. There are organizations incorporated with membership limited to men or women in this country and it is legal.

ReplyDeleteKnanaites around the world are the currency or bargaining chip. We are needed so that they can sell us and they can become Bishop, arch bisops, cardinals etc. Thats why so many knanaya churches are being build in a hurry. otherwise why knanaya churches, we just need syro-malabar churches
