Terms and Conditions for UKKCA General Election 2012

1) The General Election will be held on 28th January 2012 as per UKKCA constitution during the National Council Meeting at the Fellowship Hall, 22 South Parade, Suttoncoldfield, Birmingham, B72 1QU at 10.30 am.

2) The Nominations will be accepted only between 1st of January 2012 till 14th January 2012.

3) The nominations can be withdrawn until date given above.

4) Only elected National Council members from UKKCA units are eligible to contest.

5) The candidate should have two years mandate as a National Council member from respective units.

6) The candidates must be nominated and seconded by any member of the Electoral College.

7) The Electoral College consists of the Unit President, Unit Secretary and the elected national council members.

8) Proxy voting is not permitted.

9) The present central committee will only allow the members of the National council to enter the national council meeting up on signing the register.

10) One candidate can contest only for one post.

11) Election will be held for the following posts (1) President, (2) Vice President, (3) Secretary, (4) Joint Secretary, (5) Treasurer, and (6) Joint treasurer.

12) Two Advisory members will be nominated from the outgoing central committee by the national council.

13) The election will be held by secret ballot.

14) The election will be conducted by the present UKKCA Central committee members who are not in the Electoral College .The electoral officer will be current UKKCA President.

15) In the event of any dispute the decision of the electoral officer will be final.

16) In the event of an equal vote for a post, the decision will be subject to the UKKCA Constitution.

17) Any form of anti social behaviour during the election will not be tolerated and it will be dealt as per Law of the land.

18) The duly completed nomination forms must be sent to UKKCA General Secretary (address will be updated on the nomination form.) by Recorded Delivery.

19) UKKCA will not take any responsibility for the loss or delayed delivery of nominations after the last date.
