(There are Democracy, Plutocracy (rule by the wealthy, or power provided by wealth) Bureaucracy and Churchocracy.  Members of Knanaya Catholic Community in various cities in the USA live in a democratic country as free people.  But then, they wanted Knanaya priests.  Look at what has come out of that desire.  It is the worst form of governance – Churchocracy!

കര്‍ത്താവേ, ഇവര്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്താണെന്നിവര്‍ക്കറിയാം, എങ്കിലും ഇവരോട് ക്ഷമിക്കണമേ!

പ്രിയ ക്നാനായ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെ,

ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു കത്ത് എഴുതുവാന്‍ എന്നെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചത്, നമ്മുടെ സമൂഹത്തില്‍ നടന്നുവരുന്ന നാണംകെട്ട കളികള്‍ കണ്ടുമടുത്തതിനാലാണ്.

നാമോരോരുത്തരും അമേരിക്കയില്‍വന്നത് ജീവിക്കാന്‍ വേണ്ടിയല്ലേ? അതുപലരും മറന്നുപോകുന്നു. 70% വരുന്ന ഭുരിഭാഗം സാധാരണക്കാരെ 30% ആളുകളുടെ നാറിയ പോളിടിക്സും, കപടബുദ്ധിയും ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ചൂഷണം ചെയ്തുമുന്നേറുകയാണ്. ബഹുഭൂരിഭാഗത്തിനും ഇത്അറിയാമെങ്കിലും നമ്മള്‍ മൌനം പാലിക്കുകയാണ്.  മുന്‍പ് എന്തൊക്കെപ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും ഹൂസ്ടന്‍ ക്നാനായ സമൂഹം അമേരിക്കയില്‍ ഏറ്റവും യോജിപ്പില്‍ പൊയ്ക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഒരു സമൂഹമായിരുന്നു  പലര്‍ക്കും നമ്മള്‍ ഒരു  മാതൃകയുമായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷെ കഴിഞ്ഞ 6 മാസമായിട്ട് നമ്മുടെ ഈ സമൂഹത്തിന്‍റെ അവസ്ഥ ഓര്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ മനസ്സില്‍ കരുയുവാനെ എനിക്ക് കഴിയൂ.നിങ്ങളും കരയണം എന്നുഞാന്‍ പറയുന്നില്ല പക്ഷെ ഉണരണം, ഉണര്‍ന്ന് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കണം.അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഈ കള്ളന്‍മാര്‍ നമ്മളെ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും മുതലെടുത്തുകൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കും. അതനുവധിക്കരുത്‌. വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കുമുന്‍പ് വന്ന പലരുടെയും ദീര്‍ഘ വീക്ഷണത്തിന്‍റെയും കൂട്ടായ്മയുടേയും പരിണിതഫലമാണല്ലോ നമ്മുടെ കമ്മ്യുണിറ്റിസെന്ററും അതിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ച സ്ഥലവും. അന്ന് പൈസമുടക്കിയവരുടെയും പിന്നീട് വന്നവരുടെയും സ്വപ്നമായിരുന്നു ആ സ്ഥലത്ത് ഒരുപള്ളി എന്നത്. വളരെ സന്തോഷപൂര്‍വ്വം കഴിഞ്ഞുകൂടിയ ഒരു സമൂഹമായിരുന്നില്ലേ നമ്മുടേത്‌? അതിന് എന്തുപറ്റി എന്ന് ഒരുനിമിഷം ചിന്തിക്കൂ. നമ്മുടെ ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും വിയര്‍പ്പിന്‍റെ വിലയാണ് ബുദ്ധിമാന്‍മാരെന്ന് അഭിമാനിക്കുകയും ഒരു ബുദ്ധിയുമില്ലാത്ത ചിലരുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം കൊണ്ട്  നമുക്കും നമ്മുടെ ഭാവിതലമുറക്കും  കിട്ടേണ്ട പലതും നഷ്ടമാക്കികൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഇത്തരുണത്തില്‍ എടുത്തുപറയേണ്ട ഒരുകാര്യം ക്നാനായഹോമിനെക്കുറിച്ചാണ്. പ്രായമായ നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരങ്ങള്‍ പലരുമവിടെ സ്ഥലം വാങ്ങുകയും ഏതാനുംപേര്‍ താമസം തുടങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്തത് അടുത്തൊരുപള്ളി എന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷയിലാണെന്നു നമുക്കെല്ലാം അറിയാവുന്ന കാര്യമാണല്ലോ. നമ്മളോരോരുത്തരും നാളെ പ്രായമാകുമെന്നോര്‍ക്കണം .ഇവിടെ കളിക്കുന്ന ഓരോ വ്യക്തിയേയും നമുക്കറിയാം. ഇനിയെങ്കിലും അവനവന്‍റെ കാര്യം നോക്കി ജീവിക്കാതെ ഈ സമൂഹത്തെ നശിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചാല്‍ ഞങ്ങളെപോലുള്ള  സാധാരണക്കാര്‍ ശക്തമായി പ്രതികരിച്ചെന്നുവരും അത് നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് തടയാന്‍ സാധിക്കുകയില്ല.

ചിക്കാഗോയിലെ പ്രാഞ്ചി ഏട്ടന്മാരുടെ മൂശയില്‍ മെനഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ഫാ. ജോസച്ചന്‍ ഒന്നോര്‍ക്കണം - നിങ്ങള്‍ വൈദികര്‍ അമേരിക്കയില്‍ വരുന്നത് ഞങ്ങളെപോലെതന്നെ  ജീവിക്കുവാനും മറ്റു കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളെ രക്ഷപെടുത്താനും വേണ്ടിയാണെന്ന് നമുക്കെല്ലാം അറിയാവുന്നതാണല്ലോ. ഇവിടുത്തെ ജനങ്ങളെ ഒന്നിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകേണ്ട നിങ്ങള്‍ കലക്കവെള്ളത്തില്‍ മീന്‍ പിടിക്കുകയല്ലേ? (ദൈവം തന്നെ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മാപ്പുതരട്ടെ) ഇവിടെ നടക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം ദൈവത്തിന്‍റെ പേരിലാണല്ലോ! ദൈവത്തിനു സ്തോത്രം. നിങ്ങള്‍ നാട്ടില്‍ നിന്നും പോരുമ്പോള്‍ അരമനയില്‍നിന്നും അഞ്ചു ഡോളര്‍ പോലും തന്നുവിടുന്നില്ലായെന്ന് നിങ്ങളോര്‍ക്കണം. ഇവിടെവന്നുകഴിഞ്ഞ് നിങ്ങളുടെ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ മുഴുവനും നടത്തുന്നത് ഞങ്ങളുടെ അദ്ധ്വാനത്തിന്റെ ഒരംശം കൊണ്ടാണെന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ മറന്നുപോകരുത്. ചില വൈദികര്‍ പലപ്പോഴും ഇത് മറന്നു പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നു. ഡോളറിനു  ഒരുരൂപ മൂല്യം വന്നാല്‍ ഈ പറയുന്ന പിതാക്കന്മാരോ അച്ഛന്‍മാരോ നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി കുര്‍ബാന ചെല്ലാന്‍ വരുമെന്ന് ആരും കരുതണ്ട. അതിനാല്‍ ഡോളര്‍വില കൂടാന്‍ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുക. ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞതില്‍ തെറ്റുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ ദൈവനാമത്തില്‍ ക്ഷമിക്കുക. വര്‍ഷങ്ങളായി ഇവിടെ ജീവിച്ചുപോരുന്ന എനിക്കുപോലും ഒരുകെട്ടിടം വാങ്ങിക്കുന്നതിന്‍റെ നടപടിക്രമങ്ങള്‍ അറിയില്ലായെന്നിരിക്കെ, 6 മാസം പോലും അമേരിക്കയില്‍ ജീവിക്കാത്ത ഈ പുരോഹിതന് ചിക്കാഗോ നല്‍കിയ ട്രെയിനിംഗ് ആണോ ഗുണകരമായതെങ്കില്‍ നമ്മള്‍ വിഡ്ഢികള്‍ തന്നെ. പള്ളിക്കൂദാശ ദിവസം VGയെ  പിതാക്കന്‍മാര്‍ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നത് കേട്ട് ഈയുള്ളവന്‍റെ തലതാഴ്ന്നുപോയി. ചിക്കാഗോ brainum നമ്മുടെ പണവും. നാണമില്ലേ നമുക്ക്? വിദ്യാസംപന്നരെന്നു സ്വയം അഭിമാനിക്കുന്ന നമുക്കപമാനമല്ലെയിത്? നമ്മുടെ യുവാക്കളുടെ ബുദ്ധി നാണംകെട്ട ഇമെയില്‍ വഴി തിരിയാതെ സമുദായവളര്‍ച്ചയെയും കൂട്ടായ്മയേയും തകര്‍ക്കുന്ന ഇത്തരം കൃമികീടങ്ങള്‍ക്കെതിരെയാകട്ടെ. വൈദികര്‍ വരും പോകും നമ്മള്‍ എന്നും യോജിപ്പില്‍ നിന്നാല്‍ നമ്മുടെ കൂട്ടായ്മയ്ക്കു നന്ന്.

സാധാരണക്കാരന് വലിയൊരു ബാധ്യതയുമായി നമ്മുടെ ബുദ്ധിശൂന്യരായ നേതാക്കന്മാര്‍ പള്ളി എന്ന പാതാളത്തിലേക്ക് നമ്മളെ തള്ളിയിട്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ഇനി അതില്‍ നിന്നും എന്ന് കരകയറാന്‍പറ്റും?  ഞായറാഴ്ചകളില്‍ പള്ളിയില്‍ വരുമ്പോള്‍ മാത്രം അച്ഛന്‍ പറയുന്ന പള്ളിക്ക് കൊടുക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്ന ഡോളര്‍വിഹിതം കേട്ട് മറ്റുള്ളവരെപോലെ ഞാനും ഞെട്ടാറുണ്ട്. ദൈവത്തിനു സ്തോത്രം. ആദ്യം 3000 ആയിരുന്നത് 6000 ആയി പിന്നയത് 9000 ആയി ഇനിയത് എന്ന് 12000 ആകുമെന്ന് നമുക്ക് കാതോര്‍ക്കാം. പൊതുജനങ്ങള്‍ അറിയാതെ ഇങ്ങനെ വിളിച്ചുപറയുന്നത്‌ ശരിയാണോ? സമൂഹ നന്മയാണ് ലകഷ്യമെങ്കില്‍ സമൂഹമറിഞ്ഞുവേണമത് ചെയ്യണ്ടത്. വൈദികര്‍ ഒരു കാര്യം മനസിലാക്കുക - നിങ്ങള്‍ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നത് ഒരു വിഭാഗത്തിനു വേണ്ടി മാത്രം കുര്‍ബാന അര്‍പ്പിക്കുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടിയല്ലായെന്നും എല്ലാവരും ദൈവവിശ്വാസികള്‍ ആണെന്നും ഓര്‍ക്കുക. ദൈവത്തിനു സ്തോത്രം. ഞാനീപറഞ്ഞതില്‍ എന്തെങ്കിലും സത്യാവസ്ഥ ഉണ്ടോയെന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ തന്നെ തീരുമാനിക്കുക. ഞാനിതെഴുതിയത് പള്ളിക്കോ സമൂഹത്തിനോ ഏതേലും വ്യക്തികള്‍ക്കോ എതിരായിട്ടല്ല. ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ നമ്മുടെ സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ അവസ്ഥയില്‍ മനം നൊന്തിട്ടാണ്. ഞാനാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത് 6  മാസം മുന്‍പുള്ള ഐക്യമാണ്... അതിനായി നമുക്കൊത്തോരുമിച്ചു ഈ പുതുവര്‍ഷത്തെ വരവേല്‍ക്കാം.

(Here is the copy of a letter Fr. Saji Malayil Puthenpurayil has written to the members of Manchester Knanaya Cultural Association on 31.12.2011)

Dear MKCA Members,

I wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year,

As you know our association is facing very difficult challenges now for its unity. Actually the problem is from our community itself.

MKCA is our Mother association. Being a member of MKCA, we should be proud and take pride in her activities. This is where we come together as one family with our children.

Under the leadership of Mr Thankachan Chanakkal many of you signed a mass-petition asking the help of UKKCA as a matter of urgency.

UKKCA Central committee summoned a joined/whole meeting of MKCA Committee members. The participants were Instain Valayil (UKKCA President), Shaji Varakudy (UKKCA Trusurer), Vinod Mani (UKKCA Joint Secretary), Jose Parappanattu (UKKCA Joint Tresurer), Thankachan Chanakkal and all other executive members including MKCA area members. I was not there.

According to the MKCA minutes book where Instain Valayil, Thankachan and Sajan (MKCA Secretary) have signed jointly, UKKCA fully agreed with the procedures and decisions taken by our elected executive members, and Thankachan willingly agreed to continue as a president, being an active member of MKCA committee. After that meeting, we all came to an understanding that everything is settled and MKCA is going to run smoothly under the leadership of Thankachan. Christmas celebration would be a fresh beginning for them. But everything reversed with the resignation of Thankachan during the Christmas Celebration. Since there was no new issues formed after the settlement by the UKKCA or any new reasons raised in his resignation letter, I couldn’t justify his steps in any way. But I respect his freedom and I love him as an individual.

Now we have a new President and elected committee members for our MKCA. As responsible members, we are all supposed to work together with them for the good of our association and community.

But there are people working behind the curtain who are thirsty for power, and others with personal grudge/enemity. Please see them as they are and pray for them.

Our children are very concerned about these unpleasant developments and have expressed in many ways the need for a strong MKCA for their growth and development.

Our Youth are so worried about the recent unfair situations created by their parents in the association. The friction in the community is creating a crack and gap amongst their relationship with each other for no fault of theirs.

I would say very clearly, if we are doing anything against the smooth running of MKCA, we are standing against our children and digging our own graves. At the end of the day, all that we do are for our children. Think again, is all this turmoil benefiting anyone?  What about the loss? A big loss - our unity, our strength and the attitude our youth will develop towards our community.

I would be grateful and highly appreciate it if you could also share the effort to bring all our members together and stand united under one umbrella of our MKCA. This is our right and our duty.

I am fully confident in your responsibility to stop any parallel meetings and individual/group movements which are endangering the power & unity of Knanaya community in Manchester and MKCA. We have to consider it as anti-Knanaya Catholic spirit.

If you want to discuss / share your views and anxieties, I shall arrange a common platform under a roof in the month of February. Please let me know and I will arrange the rest.

In the New Year we shall move forward together by thinking together, praying together and working together as one MKCA Family for the best of our Children.

അച്ചാ ഇപ്പോള്‍ പോകല്ലേ, അച്ചാ ഇപ്പോള്‍ പോകല്ലേ,

കേരളത്തിലെ ഒരു സാധാരണ കുടുംബത്തില്‍ പിറന്നു UK രാജ്യത്തു എത്തിയ ഒരു സാധാരണ ക്നാനായക്കാരനാണ് ഇതു എഴുതുന്നത്‌. എഴുതുവാന്‍ വേറെ ബ്ലോഗ്‌ ഉള്ളതായി അറിയില്ല. ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ പത്രങ്ങളില്‍ വിശ്വാസം ഇല്ല.

“ചിന്താവിഷ്ടയായ ശ്യാമള” എന്ന ശ്രീനിവാസന്‍ ചിത്രത്തില്‍ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വം നിറവേറ്റാതെ തന്‍റെ ഇഷ്തത്തിനു നടക്കുന്ന വീട്ടുകാരന്റെ ചിത്രം മനസ്സിലുണ്ട്.  ഭാര്യയുടെ മനസ്സിലും വീട്ടിലും സ്ഥാനം കിട്ടാന്‍ മക്കളെക്കൊണ്ട് പറയുന്ന ഡയലോഗ് ആണ് “അച്ഛാ ഇപ്പോള്‍ പോകല്ലേ അച്ഛാ ഇപ്പോള്‍ പോകല്ലേ” എന്നത്.

ഇതുപോലെ ആണ് ഒരു പത്രം എഴുതി എഴുതി അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.  “ഉപദേഷ്ടാവ് തിരികെ പോകുവാന്‍ നോക്കുന്നു എന്ന് സൂചന ഉണ്ട്” എന്ന്.

ആരാണ് സൂചന നല്‍കിയത്?  ആരാണ് മനസിലിരിപ്പ് അറിയാവുന്ന വ്യക്തി? ഈ വിവരം പത്രത്തില്‍ കൊടുത്തിട്ട് എന്ത് നേട്ടം?.  വിശ്വാസികള്‍ എല്ലാം ചേര്‍ന്ന് ഇപ്പോള്‍ “അച്ചാ പോകല്ലേ അച്ചാ പോകല്ലേ” എന്ന് പറയണോ?

തന്നെ ഏല്‍പിച്ച ജോലി സമയത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ തീര്‍ക്കാതെ മനപ്പൂര്‍വം താമസിപ്പിക്കുകയും UKKCA-യെ തന്റെ വരുതിക്ക് നിറുത്തുവാന്‍ കഴിയാതെയും വന്നതിന്റെ ജാള്യത മാറ്റാന്‍ അവസാനമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഒരു അടവായി മാത്രമേ ഇതിനെ കാണുവാന്‍ കഴിയൂ.

ക്നാനായമക്കള്‍ ഒന്ന് മനസിലാക്കുക - നമ്മുടെ കാര്യം നടത്തുന്നത് പത്രങ്ങള്‍  അല്ല.  പറയേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ പറയേണ്ട വേദികളില്‍ പറയുക.

ഒപ്പം ഇതുപോലെയുള്ള പത്രങ്ങളില്‍ വാര്‍ത്തയും ഫോട്ടോയും ഇടാതിരിക്കുക. ഈ പത്രങ്ങള്‍ കുറുക്കന്മാരെ പോലെ ആടുകളെ തമ്മില്‍ ഇടുപ്പിച്ചു രക്തം കുടിക്കുന്നു. ഇനിയെങ്കിലും ആടുകള്‍ അത് തിരിച്ചറിയണം, വിവേകകുള്ളവരാകണം. Manchester-ല്‍ ഉണ്ടായ തര്‍ക്കം സ്ത്രീകളെക്കുറിച്ച് എഴുതാന്‍ പ്രേരിപ്പിചിരിക്കാം. അപ്പോള്‍ അത് വികാരത്തില്‍ നിന്നുമുള്ളതായിരുന്നു.

ഇപ്പോള്‍ മാസങ്ങള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞു.  വികാരം വിവേകത്തിനു വഴി മാറണം. സ്ത്രീകളെ പരാമര്‍ശിച്ചുള്ള എഴുത്തുകള്‍ നിറുത്തുക.  എഴുതുന്നവരും അത് അടിച്ചുവിടുന്ന പത്രങ്ങളും ഒന്ന് ഓര്‍ക്കുക - അവര്‍ക്കും അമ്മയും പെങ്ങള്‍മാരും ഉണ്ട്. കോപിക്കം പക്ഷെ കോപം നീണ്ടു നില്‍ക്കരുത്. അത് ഉപദേശി ആണങ്കിലും വിശ്വാസി ആണങ്കിലും.

ഇത്രയും എഴുതിയപ്പോള്‍ Manchester Unit വീണ്ടും പിളര്‍ന്നു എന്ന് കേട്ടു. ഇതില്‍ ആരാണ് അമ്മയും മകളും? അതോ രണ്ടും അമ്മയോ, അതോ രണ്ടും മക്കളോ? ഇന്നലെ പിറന്ന വിഗന്‍ ശിശു വേറെയും. അങ്ങനെ മൂന്നു യുണിറ്റ് ആയി. വിവേകമുള്ള നേതൃത്വം ഉണ്ടാകണം. ക്നാനായമക്കളില്‍ ആരാണ് വിവേകമുള്ള സോളമന്‍? എല്ലാ ക്നാനായ മക്കളെയും സമൂഹത്തില്‍ നാറ്റിച്ച Manchester യുണിറ്റ് എല്ലാത്തിന്റെയും പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം മരവിപ്പിക്കുക. വോട്ട് ചെയയ്യുവാന്‍ അനുവദിക്കരുത്.  മത്സരത്തിനു സമ്മതിക്കരുത്. മറ്റു യുനിട്ടുകള്‍ക്കും ഒരു പാഠം ആകട്ടെ

ഒറ്റക്കും കൂട്ടായും ചര്‍ച്ചക്ക് വേദി ഒരുക്കി പ്രശ്നം തീര്‍ക്കുക. അതിനുള്ള വിവേകം പരിശുദ്ധആന്മാവ് നല്‍കട്ടെ.

വിശ്വാസി ഇനിയും ഈ പത്രങ്ങള്‍ വായിക്കല്ലേ. വിശ്വാസി ഈ പത്രങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വാര്‍ത്ത‍ കൊടുക്കല്ലേ.

അച്ചാ, വാര്‍ത്ത‍ കൊടുക്കല്ലേ അച്ചാ, പരിഹാസപാത്രമാകല്ലേ!

പടി കടക്കുന്ന രണ്ടായിരത്തി പതിനൊന്ന്

രണ്ടായിരത്തി പതിനൊന്ന് കാലത്തിന്റെ പടി കടക്കുക്കയാണ്.  ബ്രിട്ടനിലെ ക്നാനായ സമുദായങ്ങങ്ങല്‍ക്ക് പലതു കൊണ്ടും പ്രധാനപെട്ടതായിരുന്നു 2011.  കോട്ടയത്ത്‌ നടന്ന ശതാബ്ദി ആഘോഷം, അതിന്റെ പേരിലും അല്ലാതെയും UKKCA നേതാക്കള്‍ തേര്തെളിച്ചു നടത്തിയ പണപിരിവുകള്‍, നടക്കാതെ പോയ European കുടുംബമേള, UKKCA-പത്താം വാര്‍ഷികം, അങ്ങനെ പലതും.

പക്ഷെ, ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാന സംഭവം, സംഘടനയിലുണ്ടായ അധപതനമാണ്.  ഒറ്റയടിക്ക്‌ സംഘടന അധപതിക്കുകയായിരുന്നില്ല; ഓരോ ഭരണസമതിയും അവരാല്‍ കഴിയുന്നത്ര ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ടാണിരുന്നത്.  ഇപ്പോള്‍ അത് പൂര്‍ത്തി ആയി എന്ന് മാത്രം.

ഇന്ന്, ഇന്നാട്ടിലെ ക്നാനായ സമുദായം വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ സൃഷ്ട്ടിക്കുന്നു, മറ്റു ജനം ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പരിഹസ്യരാകുന്ന ക്നാനായജനം എന്തോ വലിയ കാര്യം സാധിച്ച മട്ടില്‍ ഞെളിയുന്നു!  തണലിന് വേണ്ടി ആല്‍മരം അസ്ഥാനത് നട്ടു വളര്‍ത്തുന്നു നമ്മള്‍!

2004/05 - ല്‍ ഒരു മലയാളി സംഘടനയ്ക്ക് പാര വയ്ക്കാനായി Manchester Knanaya Unit-ന്റെ പേര് Manchester Knanaya Cultural Association എന്നാക്കി.  UKKCA യുടെ അന്ഗീകരതോടെ ആണ് അത് ചെയ്തതെന്ന് ഓര്‍ക്കുക.  അന്ന് ആരും അതില്‍ ഒരു അധാര്‍മികത കണ്ടില്ല.  എന്തോ വലിയ കാര്യം സാധിച്ച ഭാവം ആയിരുന്നു അന്ന്‍ എല്ലാവര്ക്കും. Manchester Knanaya Cultural Association-ന്റെ ലേബലില്‍ അന്ന് ഞെളിഞ്ഞു നടന്നവര്‍ക്ക്, MKCA – യുടെ സാരധികളായി Unit-ലും Centre-ലും നടന്നവര്‍ക്ക്, ഇപ്പോള്‍ ബോധോദയം ഉണ്ടായി – Culture എന്ന വാക്കും ക്നാനയക്കാരനും തമ്മില്‍ എന്ത് ബന്ധം?  പാടില്ല, നമുക്ക് Manchester Knanaya Catholic Association  എന്ന പേര് തന്നെ വേണം.  അങ്ങിനെ MKCA രണ്ടു കക്ഷണം.  "വീണിതല്ലോ കിടക്കുന്നു ധരണിയില്‍............""

പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ ഒന്നും ആശയപരമല്ല; അധികാരത്തിന്റെതാണ്.  കസേര കിട്ടിയവന്‍ അത് വിട്ടു കൊടുക്കില്ല; കിട്ടാത്തവന് അത് സഹിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കുന്നില്ല.  ഉള്ളവനും ഇല്ലാത്തവനും തമ്മിലുള്ള Conflict തന്നെ.

Central Committee പോലും ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഭിന്നാഭിപ്രായക്കാരാണ്.  ചിലര്‍ പുതിയ Unit-നൊപ്പം; ചിലര്‍ അതിനെതിരാണ്.  Spiritual Advisor എന്തെടുക്കുന്നു, എവിടെയാണ് എന്നാര്‍ക്കും അറിയില്ല.

പൊന്നു തിരുമേനിമാരേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഓരോ വര്‍ഷവും UKKCA-യുടെ ചെലവില്‍ ഒരു foreign trip തരമാകുന്നു എന്നതൊഴിച്ചാല്‍, ഇവിടെ  ആര്‍ക്കും ഈ സംഘടനകൊണ്ട് യാതൊരു പ്രയോജനവും ഇല്ല.  നാണക്കെടാണെങ്കില്‍ (നാണം ഉള്ളവര്‍ക്ക്) സഹിക്കവുന്നതില്‍ അധികം ആയി.

ദയവു ചെയ്തു ഈ പ്രഹസനം ഒന്ന് മതിയാക്കി തരാമോ?  UKKCA  എന്ന സംഘടനാഭാസം പിരിച്ചു വിടുന്നതായി ഒന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുമോ?

വിഗന്‍ യുണിറ്റ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ഒരു UKKCA മിനി കണ്‍വെന്‍ഷന്‍ ആയി അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടു.  മൂന്നു വൈദീകര്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന് അര്‍പ്പിച്ച കൃതഞ്ഞതബലിക്ക് യുണിറ്റ് പ്രസിഡന്റ്‌ തന്നെ ശുശ്രുഷി ആയതു പുതിയ ഒരനുഭവമായിരുന്നു.

ബലിയെ തുടര്‍ന്നു വെല്‍ക്കം ഡാന്‍സ് അതുഗ്ര നിലവാരം പുലര്‍ത്തി. തുടര്‍ന്ന് നടന്ന ഉദ്ഘാടന യോഗത്തിലേക്ക് യുനിറ്റു സെക്രട്ടറി ശ്രീ മോനച്ചന്‍ ചാക്കോ എല്ലാവരെയും സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്തു. യുണിറ്റ് പ്രസിഡന്റ്‌ ജസ്റ്റിന്‍ ആകശാല അദ്ധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. UKKCA വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ്‌ ശ്രീ ഷെല്ലി ഫിലിപ്പ് വിഗന്‍ യുണിറ്റ് ഔദ്യോഗികമായി ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. തുടര്‍ന്ന് UKKCA TREASURER ശ്രീ ഷാജി വരാക്കുടി, ശ്രീ സാബു മന്നാകുളം Sr.  Dolores എന്നിവര്‍ ആശംസകള്‍ നേര്‍ന്നു. വിഗന്‍ യുണിറ്റ് കാലഘട്ടത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യമാണെന്നു പ്രാസങ്ങികര്‍ പറയുക മാത്രമല്ല പങ്കെടുത്തവര്‍ക്കും ബോധ്യമായി

തുടര്‍ന്ന്നടന്ന കലാപരിപാടികള്‍ ഉന്നത നിലവാരം പുലര്‍ത്തി. നൃത്തനൃത്യങ്ങളും ലഘുനാടകവും പങ്കെടുത്തവരെ ചിരിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചിന്തിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. പുറത്തു മഴ പെയ്തിറങ്ങുംപോളും നടവിളിയും പുരാതനപാട്ടും ഹാളില്‍ നിറഞ്ഞുനിന്നു.

വിഗാന്‍ യുണിറ്റ് നവജാത ശിശുവാനെങ്കിലും നേതൃത്വം പക്വമതികളും, കൂട്ട് ഉത്തരവാതിത്വമുള്ളവരും ആണന്നു നിസംശയം പറയാം. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഈ യുണിറ്റ് ഭാവിയില്‍ ക്നാനായ സമൂഹത്തിനു മുതല്‍കൂട്ടായിരിക്കും.

കാലിതൊഴുത്തിലെ ഉണ്ണിയേശുവിനെ കണ്ടു മടങ്ങിയ ആട്ടിടയന്‍മാരെപോലെ പങ്കെടുത്തവര്‍ എല്ലാം ഒരുമയില്‍ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ പോകുന്നത് കാണുവാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞു. ഇതില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കാതിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ ഒരു വലിയ നഷ്ട്ടം ആയേനെ.

UK- യിലെ എല്ലാ ക്നാനായമക്കള്‍ക്കും അഭിമാനിക്കുവാന്‍ ഒരു യുണിറ്റ് കൂടി ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നു!

വിഗാന്‍ യുണിറ്റ്നു എല്ലാവിധ ആശംസകളും പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനകളും നേരുന്നു. എല്ലാ ഭാരവാഹികളും അംഗങ്ങളും പ്രശംസ അര്‍ഹിക്കുന്നു. ഈ തീഷ്ണതയും ഒരുമയും  എന്നും നിലനില്‍ക്കട്ടെ.

Welcoming 2012 - Happy New Year!

Every New Year comes with new hope and rejuvenated ideologies, an opportunity to revise our past, modify our present and formulate new strategies in line with the ever-changing needs and priorities.  Most of us as individuals and groups celebrate new year, few realise whether they are being part of mourning for the gone year, or welcoming the ever fresh new year.  In any case, it an occasion to review our failures and celebrate achievements.

God not only created all species in this world but empowered them with the capacity to survive, but humans are the only species gifted with the power of  Wisdom, which is the deep understanding and realization of people, things, events or situations, resulting in the ability to apply perceptions, judgements and actions in keeping with this understanding. Mostly it needs to control of one's emotional reactions so that universal principles, reason and knowledge prevail to determine one's actions.  Wisdom is also the comprehension of what is true or right coupled with optimum judgment as to action.

This additional gift makes them live in a society, enable them to share each and everything and also acts as an agent for that group’s development.  All these developments are the results of collective actions, therefore purely group effort.  A strong and diverse group can easily bring in excellent results, than any individual can.  Involvement of individuals with long term vision and committed community engagements can improve the group’s performances and results, making that group more vibrant and productive.  Nominating and Promoting those individuals are our current challenges, individuals who can bring in or implement changes as per the needs of the society or to this developing group/society.

Over the last ten years UKKCA’s existence purely depended on the success of annual conventions and few individuals view this as the sole objective of this community association.  If that is the case, then UKKCA never had any leaders except the ones who initiated these regular annual conventions, rest all are self styled leaders who simply don’t want to come out of their comfort zones. That may also be the reason for nearly zero bank balance transfers to the new committee, it is a shame for this large  community association.  It is disheartening to hear that the current committee is also looking forward to zero transfer or near-zero-balance.  We have created this situation by electing people with “Zero-Community-Commitment” and forced to rate them the Zeros of UKKCA.

In this New Year, let’s ask this question: is UUKCA's only objective  is to organise an annual convention; do we need this momentary or temporary leaders without any professionalism or long term objectives and ultimately forcing us to rate them for their nil achievements and zero transfers?

I wish all my Knanaya brothers and sisters  a very HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!
