Dear Proud Kna
Thank you for your compliment and I am really happy to see such meaningful discussions in this Blog. Yes, we should express our ideas, then our community will grow in the right direction.
I am ready to answer any question in any platform and if I have committed any mistake, I am ready to correct it. As you said in conclusion, WKCA members were ready to sit around a table to resolve the issue. We had, in fact, asked for an appointment with Fr. Saji for the same. Nobody listened, unfortunately.
I shall wait for an answer from MKCA President and Secretary for your questions. I prefer to give my answers after them (mainly because my stand has been made clear in my address which is available in YouTube). If they refuse to answer you within two or three days I shall then happily give a detailed reply explaining WKCA’s stand.
Let me make it clear that I was never a member of MKCA and as such I don’t know the root cause of all these problems. In a family there should be love, affection, understanding, patience, obedience, sacrifice, sharing, etc. and if it is a Christian family there should be prayer also. “Family that prays together stays together.” I have never attended MKCA programme, not even as a guest. So, I have no comment on the recent developments there.
But my opinion is that if a member doesn’t turn up or think differently it is the duty of the head of the family to think twice WHY? and find a solution before it gets out of control. Being a human being, even the head of a family can make mistakes but loving and understanding family members never blame him for his action.
Being an outsider do you think I can give more comment on MKCA?
My apologies Mr Justin because I thought you were a member of MKCA previously hence I mentioned the mistake of family etc, neverthless i think it is a valid point for others. Of course you are right being an outsider you cannot comment on MKCA. again i completley agree with the head of the family having to think twice. heres one more question to you for which you can answer after 2-3 days when you are giving me detailed reply. Assuming the current problems are resolved regarding the MKCA "scandals" would it not be a possibilty to work together as one for example the knanaya community in Wigan unit could become a part of MKCA (of course assuming all the disputes and problems are resolved) because I am sure if Manchester region stands as one we could have a greater impact and say in UKKCA and the development of our youth and community as a whole. So you guys can have your own get together etc and MKCA could then host the get togethers of all manchester region (Bolton, Stockport Leigh, Wigan etc) once or twice a year? would it not be a possible solution?
ReplyDeleteDear Proud Kna. Why do you target only Manchester? If you believe "big is beautiful" why don't you suggest we should have only 4 or 5 units in whole of U.K? In that case, they will all remain big and strong?
ReplyDeleteBut that is not the point - we should have local units so that people and children could participate more actively. The ideal situation should be, family, units, regional units and central association.
Of course, it is for the members in and around Manchester to decide. I don't belong to Manchester and just can't see the agenda behind keeping Manchester alone a mighty association. Being mighty, what has Manchester achieved during the past 10 years? Did they host a Convention? Did they buy a community centre? Did they buy a church?
Don't confuse big with obesity.

Mr Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteYes MKCA has hosted all UK kna progs, you probably never heard of it? maybe because it was a long time ago? MKCA was the first unit to host KCYL programmes for all UK kna youths.
MKCA has won the rally the past 2 UKKCA convention and was the only unit which came second to all those years.
Recently UKCYL programme was hosted in Manchester....need i go on? Also even more to the point did you not read my post? it is asking mr justin on the posibility of wigan unit being unit with MKCA being the regional unit? do you not understand that?
